When playing PlayStation Home, whenever that was in the past or in the present, the game downloaded a bunch of content from the game so it can be loaded quicker than streaming it every time it is required.
For example, if you go to Central Plaza, you first have to download it and it will be stored inside a CACHE folder and then the next time you go to it, instead of downloading it like you did the first time, it is loaded from cache instead.
This is very similar to how a web browser works with web pages taking longer to load the first time but then being much faster the next time you visit the same page.
And most of what you download inside PlayStation Home, you don't even know you have downloaded because apart from spaces, you never get asked to download it such as clothing items, posters in spaces, minigames and much more.
This very cache data from before March 31st 2015 is extremely important and useful to us. We consider it to be our fuel as without it, we cannot find and add any more as nearly everything we have, we got thanks to cache data donations. The spaces, the clothing items, the minigames and much more. And there's still more to find.
If you have a PS3 with PlayStation Home still on it from before March 31st 2015, we kindly request that you follow this video tutorial on how to extract and donate your PS Home Cache Data to us. As said above, this helps out greatly. Thankyou.
